Rose Rubino Morgan

Rose Rubino Morgan, 97, of 200 Franklin Avenue, Ellwood City, passed away Thursday morning, August 12, 2010 at her residence.

She was born in New Castle on February 7, 1913 to the late Nicolas Pagley and the late Lucia Lenzi Pagley.

Rose retired from Rubino’s Korner Store after 40 years and was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish, Christian Mothers, and the Daughters of the Sons of Italy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Stephen B. Rubino, whom she married August 3, 1936 and who died November 24, 1977. She later married Domenick “Chebo” Morgan of Lutton Street, New Castle on May 22, 1982. He died in 1984.

The last of her family, she was also preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters: Ralph W. Pagley, James Pagley, Rev. Anthony Pagley, John Pagley, Louis Pagley, Mike Pagley, Mary Corsi, Clara Hammond, Philomena Colella, and Clementina Garard.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter: Stephen J. Rubino and Joseph H. (and Linda) Rubino, all of Ellwood City, and Louise (and Italo) Sacco of Leland, NC.

Four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.

Friends will be received from 6 – 9 P.M. on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue.

A Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Holy Redeemer Parish Church, 415 Fourth Street, Ellwood City, with Rev. Fr. Mark Thomas officiating.

Those attending the mass should meet at the funeral home by 9:30 Wednesday morning, as the procession to the church will depart at 9:45.

Entombment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum.

A Holy Mass or memorial contribution may be made, in Rose’s name, to the Angel Fund at Holy Redeemer Parish Church, 300 Crescent Avenue, Suite 1, Ellwood City, PA 16117.
