Richard Durf

Richard Durf, 56, of Edinburg, PA, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, December 20, 2010.

He was born in Baden, PA on July 15, 1954 to the late Samuel R. Durf and the late Dolores Brendle Durf.

He graduated from Ambridge High School and had worked for Armco Steel until its closure, and most recently worked as a commercial truck driver for the last 30 years.

He married his wife of over 17 years, Cindy Daufen Durf, on August 28, 1993. She survives him. Richard was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Johnson Club of Hillsville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Chad Durf, and a grandmother, Mary Lucas.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two sons and two daughters: Dustin and Lacie Coccia of Allison Park, Shay Coccia of Ellwood City, and Sommer Durf of Miami, FL. He is also survived by his sister, Gayle Maretti of Harmony Township.

Friends will be received from 6-8 P.M. on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue.

Services will be conducted at 11 A.M. on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at TURNER’S with Rev. Derek Longbrake of Bell Memorial Presbyterian Church officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Perry Township.
