Kathryn O. Dinley

Kathryn O. Dinley, 94, of Ellwood City died on Monday afternoon, February 21 2011 in the Ellwood City Hospital.

She was born in Ellwood City on May 7 1916 to the late William Henderson and the late Mary Wright Henderson.

Kathryn graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City and was a longtime member of Christ Presbyterian Church. She worked, years ago, as a secretary at Medusa Cement, and later Blaw-Knox Corp in Ellwood City.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 48 years, Lawrence J. Dinley, who died on February 7 1987.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Patrick J. (and Carol) Dinley of Delray Beach Florida, and by three grandchildren: Briggett Hyland, Brian Dinley, and Bryce Fulton.

She is survived also by four great grandchildren: G. Thompson Hyland, Bronwyn Hyland, Burke Fulton, and Bergen Fulton, and by nieces and nephews.

She was the last of her family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters: William Henderson, Almon Henderson, Lillian Wilson, and Martha Swartz.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. on Wednesday, February 23 in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME OF ELLWOOD CITY, 500 Sixth Street, Ellwood City.

Services will be conducted at TURNERS on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 11:00 A.M. with her pastor, the Rev. R. Tod Custer, of Christ Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Holy Redeemer Parish Cemetery, North Sewickley.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to Christ Presbyterian Church, Ellwood City, or to the Ellwood City Area Public Library.
