Hazel J. Dallies

Hazel J. Moore Dallies, 76, of Ellwood City, passed way peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday evening, May 7, 2011, in Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born in New Brighton on October 26, 1934 to the late John Wilford Moore and the late Elizabeth Christoff Moore. She was a member of the Union Goodwill Community Church in Frisco and was also a member of the Wayne Township Fire Department Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband of over 50 years, William J. Dallies, Sr., whom she married March 1, 1952, and who passed away February 1, 2003. She was also preceded by three brothers and one sister: John L., Wilford N., and Ayer Gerald Moore; as well as a sister, Mildred Bosco.

Hazel is survived by three sons and six daughters: William J. (and Linda) Dallies, Jr., Edward (and Cheryl) Dallies, Nancy (and Lester) Johnson, Deanna (and William J.) Myers, and Debbie Perell, all of Ellwood City; Ronald (and Beverly) Dallies of West Aliquippa; Barbara (and Walter) Arkwright of Koppel; Brenda (and Sham) Hardesty of New Galilee; and Peggy Parker of Beaver Falls. Eighteen grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren also survive.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue.

Services will be conducted at 11 A.M. on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at TURNER’S with Rev. Eugene McConnell, her pastor, officiating. Entombment will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Cranberry Township.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Hazel’s name, to the Union Goodwill Community Church, 1109 Main Street, Ellwood City, PA 16117.
