Marilyn F. Rodgers

Marilyn F. Rodgers, 77, of North Sewickley Township, died at Creek Meadows Senior Guest Haus, Zelienople, on Wednesday morning, January 7, 2009 after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Ellwood City on May 21, 1931 to the late George Fosnaught and the late Irene Lemery Fosnaught.

She was a longtime member of Holy Redeemer Parish, and St. Agatha Church, and was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Ellwood City.

For a number of years, she resided in Palm Bay Florida.

She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Sheridan J. Rodgers, who died on March 11, 2000.

She also was preceded by two sisters and one brother: Georgianna Bartoe; Gretta Price; and James Fosnaught.

She is survived by two daughters, two sons, a daughter-in-law and son-in-law: Alexis Vahanian and Jill(and Vince) Maddox, all of Pittsburgh; Rod Rodgers and Scott (and Colleen) Rodgers, all of North Sewickley Twp.

Four grandchildren survive: Adam Vahanian; Michael Maddox; and Brent and Jessica Rodgers.

One brother, William Fosnaught, of Carroll Valley, PA survives as well as an aunt, Greta Lacey, of Ellwood City. Private visitation will be held at the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue, and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at Holy Redeemer Parish Church, Fourth Street, Ellwood City by the Rev. Fr. Mark Thomas, pastor.

Memorials may be made to the Ellwood City Area Public Library or to the donors’ favorite charity.
