Clysta R. Dambach Hollinback

Clysta R. Dambach Hollinback, 95, of Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony, PA formerly of Lark Drive, Ellwood City, went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, July 31, 2011.

She was born in Jackson Township, Butler County on January 18, 1916 to the late Harvey O. Dambach and the late Phyllis Creese Dambach.

She was an active and one of the oldest members of Providence Baptist Church, where she was a member of the CFC Sunday School class, William Hoffman Missionary Society, and formerly sang in the church choir.

She came to Ellwood City in 1932 from Butler County. She also belonged to the Portersville Keenagers Club.

Clysta enjoyed quilting, playing cards, and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Hollinback, who died December 1, 1981, and by one grandson, Mark Howard Syphrit, in 1966. She was also preceded by four brothers and two sisters: George A. Dambach, Harvey O. Dambach, Jr., Dean R. Dambach, Elmer L. Dambach, Dorothy Hasbach, and Mildred Kennedy.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law and one son: Shirley (and Thomas) Syphrit of Ellwood City; Caroll (and Edward) Young of Pittsburgh; and Ronald W. Hollinback of Ellwood City.

Five grandchildren also survive, as well as eight great grandchildren.

She is also survived by three sisters: Bessie Greenawalt of Butler, Loma Walczak of Pittsburgh, and Lillian Weller of Florida.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME OF ELLWOOD CITY, Sixth Street at Park Avenue. Services will be conducted at TURNER’S on Wednesday August 3, 2011 at 2 P.M. with her pastor, Rev. Andrew Pepe, of Providence Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park, Butler.

Memorial donations may be made to the Providence Baptist Church.
