Howard L. Eicholtz

Howard Lavern Eicholtz, 83, of Crescent Place, formerly of Portersville, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday morning, September 23, 2011.

He was born in Harmony on April 24, 1928 to the late George Frederick Eicholtz and the late Lydia Elizabeth Schweinsburg Eicholtz. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 – 1952.

The last of his family, he was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters: Clyde, Clarance, Emery, and Raymond Eicholtz, Eva Smith, Myrtle V. Smith, and Laura E. Kennedy.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue, with Rev. John Wiseman, pastor of Bethel United Brethren Church in New Castle, officiating.

Interment will follow in Grace Bible Church Cemetery, Middle Lancaster Township, Lawrence County.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Howard’s name, to the American Heart Association or to the donor’s favorite charity.
