Norma Crans

Norma Crans, 90, of the Trinity Living Center, Grove City, formerly of Thomas Hill Road, Fombell, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, December 16, 2011 at the Trinity Living Center.

She was born in Frisco, Franklin Township, on July 19, 1921 to the late Freed Crans and the late Rosalie Tackenberg Crans.

Norma was a longtime active member of Lillyville Church of God where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class and also taught the Boys Sunday School Class. She enjoyed farming, gardening, baking, and horses and was well known for her creativity. She won many ribbons at the fair for her crocheting and knitted baby blankets for her great nephews. She also enjoyed woodworking and woodburning.

The last of her family, she was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by two sisters, Shirley Crans Rendos, who died October 13, 1974, and Lorena M. “Dolly” Crans, who died May 8, 2011.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from noon until the time of service at 3 P.M. on Sunday, December 18, 2011 in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue, with Rev. Dennis Arndt, her pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Lillyville Church of God Cemetery, Franklin Township.
