Clementina Moore

Clementina E. Moore, 91, of Harlansburg Road, Hickory Township, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 24 at the Butler VA Medical Center.

Clementina was born Feb. 10, 1920, in Pittsburgh to the late Elias and Clementine Plowmaker Guenther. She was married to Edwin L. Moore Sr. for 60 years before his passing in July of 2008.

She served in the US Army as a First Lieutenant during World War II. She was a member of the Neshannock Presbyterian Church in New Castle; VFW Post 315; and the Perry S. Gaston American Legion Post, New Castle.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her daughter, Joan B. Ketchum of New Castle; three sons, Dennis Moore of Mt. Jackson; Edwin L. Moore Jr. of New Castle and Craig A. Moore of Beaver; a brother, John Guenther of Garden Grove, Calif,; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Turner-Myers Funeral Home, 208 North Jefferson St., New Castle.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday at Neshannock Presbyterian Church, New Castle, and will be conducted by the Rev. Gary Waguespak, pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. Robert Strobel of Evangel Community Church.

Burial will follow at the Neshannock Presbyterian Church Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the New Castle Area Honor Guard.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Harry Guenther, and two sisters, Agnes Mazey and Helen Paoletti.
