Ruth M. Rugh

Ruth M. Rugh, 78, of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday afternoon, February 20, 2012 in the Ellwood City Hospital.

She was born in Ellwood City on July 8, 1933 to the late James “Lefty” Campbell and the late Hazel Cook Campbell. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and retired from FNB Loan Company where she worked as a secretary for many years. She also attended Bell Memorial Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed playing games on the computer and her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey R. Rugh on January 23, 1995. The last of her family, she was also preceded in death by one brother and three sisters: Edgar Eugene “Bud” Campbell, Dorothy McQuiston, Irene Rielly, and Margie Angerette.

She is survived by her son and her daughter, Fred A. (and Kathy) Rugh of Oil City, PA and Cynthia (and George) Vogel of Ellwood City. Two grandchildren, Audrey Hancock and Cassandra O’Niel also survive, as well as four great grandchildren, Hailey Hancock, Rileigh Huey, and Brendan and Taylor O’Niel.

Per Ruth’s wishes, no public visitation is planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue.

Private interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, North Sewickley Township.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Ruth’s name, to the donor’s favorite charity.
