Charles W. Nippert

Charles W. Nippert, 72, formerly of North Sewickley Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, June 9, 2012 at his daughter’s residence in Harpers Ferry, WV following an extended illness.

He was born in Beaver Falls on July 16, 1939 to the late John Wesley Nippert and the late Mary Jane Sumner Nippert. He graduated from Beaver Falls High School in the class of 1957 and married his late wife of 51 years, Jacqueline Weimer Nippert, on November 18, 1960. She preceded him in death on May 17, 2012. He had worked as a construction project manager until retiring and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ellwood City. He enjoyed hunting and boating and was an avid collector of knives and firearms.

He is survived by two daughters, Wendy Sylier (and fiancé Bernie McCann) of Harpers Ferry, WV, and Jeanne (and Jimmy) Rogers of North Sewickley. Three grandchildren also survive: Erika Sylier of Fombell, and Lacey Sylier and Tyler Clyde of North Sewickley.

Friends will be received from 6-8 P.M. on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue.

Friends may also call from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M. on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at TURNER’S with Rev. James Cannistraci, his pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in Clinton Cemetery, Wampum.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Charles’ name, to the American Heart Association.
