Eva B. Walton

Eva B. Walton, 92, of Dutch Ridge Road, Ellwood City, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, January 17, 2013 at the Haven Convalescent Home in New Castle.

She was born in Ellwood City on April 4, 1920 to the late John McQuiston and the late Harriet Stiefel McQuiston. Eva was raised on the family farm and she and her family were the caretakers of Camp Allegheny. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was devoted to her family.

Eva was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Walton, who passed away October 21, 1999. She was also preceded by her son, John W. Walton, her daughter-in-law, Patty Walton, and her grandson, Kenneth Walton. The last of her family, she was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by two brothers and three sisters: Loyal McQuiston, Harold McQuiston, Delilah McCrumb, Mary Hager, and Mildred Wallace.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth H. (and Sarah) Walton and Robert E. Walton (and Linda Milchak), all of Wayne Township, Ellwood City. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Carol Mason, Tracy (and Jimmy) Jones, Robert (and Lisa) Walton, John Walton, and Nicole Walton. Eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren also survive, as well as close family friends Howard (and Sandy) Allison of New Castle.

Per Eva’s wishes, private visitation and services will be held in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue, with Rev. Peggy Suhr-Barkley, her pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Wayne Township.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Eva’s name, to Trinity Lutheran Church.
