Carole M. Main

Carole M. Main, 72, of Hardyville, Ellwood City, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at her residence.

She was born in Ellwood City on June 10, 1940 to the late Chester Fay Averill and the late Emma Daisy Stoops Averill.

She graduated from Lincoln High School and married her husband of over 54 years, Richard C. Main, who survives, on October 17, 1958. She worked as a cashier at Walmart and was a member of the Ellwood City Hungarian Home. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and bird watching, and fishing and boating.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her brother, Fred Averill.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, Richard, by her two sons, Daniel R. (and Tracy) Main of Beaver Falls and David A. (and Jackie) Main of Ellwood City, as well as three grandchildren, Brandi (and James) Beachem and Blake and Ethen Main, and her sister, Nancy (and Paul) Jacobs of Ellwood City.

Friends will be received from 2-4 P.M. and from 6 P.M. until the time of service at 8 P.M. on Thursday, March 14, 2013 in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avneue, with Rev. Dennis Arndt, of Lillyville Church of God, officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Carole’s name, to the Beaver County Humane Society.
