Ethel May Graff

Ethel May Graff, 91, of the Passavant Retirement Center, Zelienople, formerly of Pander Hollow Road, Ellwood City (Franklin Twp.) went to be with the Lord on Monday morning, April 15, 2013 at the Passavant Center.

She was born on the family farm in Franklin Township on March 30, 1921, daughter of the late Robert John Graff and Sarah Elizabeth Moyer Graff. Ethel May began her education at the old Greenwood Elementary School in Franklin Township. She later attended Lincoln High School and Geneva College. She taught school for over 35 years, mainly at the Wayne Township School and was a member of PSEA.

Ethel May stayed on the family farm her entire life, until her recent illness. Her family was her life. She was also a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellwood City.

She is survived by one sister, Dora Graff of Pittsburgh. One sister, Esther Graff Campbell, preceded her in death.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 12:30 P.M. until the time of service at 2 P.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 207 Spring Avenue, Ellwood City.

Burial will be in St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery, Franklin Twp. Arrangements have been entrusted to the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Trinity Lutheran Church.
