Alice L. Cleaver

Alice L. Cleaver, 55, of Mt. Air Road, New Castle, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, December 7, 2013 at her residence following a lengthy illness.

She was born in New Castle on April 20, 1958 to the late Harold James Cleaver and the late Shirley Jean Caine Cleaver. She graduated from New Castle High School and was a member of Bethel Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Enon Valley. She enjoyed collecting bears.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her brother, Francis Craig Cleaver in Vietnam and her sister, Barbara Schenker in 2009.

She is survived by her husband, Mark R. Bauder, and three sons: Donald Cleaver and Travis Bauder of New Castle and Adam (and Melissa) Cleaver of Bradenton, FL; as well as four stepchildren: Mark (and Tammy) Bauder, Jr. of Princeton, Robin Bauder of Ellwood City, and Karen Schlichtkrull and Patti Jo McCowin of Portersville. Three grandchildren also survive, as well as three brothers: Gary, Keith, and Wayne Cleaver, all of Florida. Alice is also survived by her beloved pug, Nico.

Friends will be received from 11 A.M. until the time of service at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue with Rev. Mark Tippin, her pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in Portersville Presbyterian Cemetery in Portersville.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Alice’s name, to the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation.
