Glen R. McConnell

Glen R. McConnell, 65, of the Blair Personal Care Home in Beaver Falls, formerly of Fombell, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday evening, March 18, 2014 in the emergency department of the Ellwood City Hospital.

He was born in Ellwood City on May 28, 1948 to the late Raymond W. McConnell and the late Grace L. McElwain McConnell West. He was member of Camp Run Presbyterian Church and also attended the First Church of God in Ellwood City. He enjoyed coloring pictures for his friends, especially for Doris Conklin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Garrett West, his stepsister, Mary Ann Weisz, and three stepbrothers, Herbert Swick, Robert Herbert, and Emery Cortez.

He is survived by his stepsiblings: Carl Weisz of New Castle, Jean Swick of Ellwood City, Rosetta Herbert of New Castle, Edna (and Larry) Brown of Kingman, AZ, Lois (and David) Peeples of Fombell, Ruth Cortez of Ellwood City, Gary (and Martha) West of Fombell, and Boyd (and Brenda) West of Beaver Falls. He is also survived by his special friend, Leslie Quinn.

Friends will be received from 5-8 P.M. on Friday, March 21, 2014 in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue.

Services will be conducted at 11 A.M. on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at TURNER’S with Rev. Andrew Shaffer and Rev. Phil Conklin officiating.

Interment will be in Camp Run Cemetery, Fombell.
