Paula M. Wright

Paula M. Wurster Wright, 92, of Eagle River Alaska, formerly of Whieldon Avenue, Ellwood City (Wurtemburg), passed away last December 12 2013. She had spiraled down rapidly following a fall last Thanksgiving.
She was born on September 6 1921. She had moved from Ellwood to Eagle River AK over 10 years ago to spend time with her son, Stoney J. Wright, and her daughter-in-law, Sharon Wright. They survive, along with her grandson, Stormy Wright.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth M. Wright, who died on April 5 1994.
Paula experienced many new adventures in Alaska, and lately was able to share in the excitement of her son’s retirement.

She enriched many lives greatly and will be missed by all, including several area relatives.

A Celebration of Life was held for Paula in Eagle River, where photos, stories, and memories were shared with the gathered family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, for those who wish to contribute in her memory, the family recommends a donation to Bird TLC, 7800 King Street, Anchorage AK 99518 (www.birdtlc.net), a rehabilitation and education center for wild birds. Paula especially loved birds. One of her last acts was to reach out for a bird she was trying to touch.

Her ashes will be committed locally in the family plot in Mountville Cemetery, Perry Twp.

TURNER FUNERAL HOME OF ELLWOOD CITY has been entrusted with arrangements.
