Anna Mastilak

Anna Mastilak, 96, of Katera’s Kove Personal Care Community, Wampum, formerly of Ellport, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, August 9, 2014 at Katera’s Kove.

Anna was born in Snowden, PA on April 5, 1918 to the late Michael Turok, Sr. and the late Anna Fellipe Turok. She married her late husband of 27 years, Andrew Mastilak, Jr., on June 15, 1940. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1968. She was a member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Ellport where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Booster Club in Ellport. During WWII, she worked at the former Ellwood Works of U.S. Steel. Later, she became a Certified Nurses Aide, a job she continued to work well into her 80’s.

The last of her family, she was preceded in death, in addition to her parents and husband, by her brothers and sisters: Mary Ritorto, Helen Fecko, and John, Charles, and Michel Turok, Sr.

Anna is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 5-8 P.M. on Monday, August 11, 2014 in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue.

A blessing service will be conducted at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at TURNER’S with Rev. Fr. John Sidor of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church officiating.

Interment will be in Holy Trinity Orthodox Cemetery in Big Beaver Borough.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Anna’s name, to the donor’s favorite charity.
