William S. Graham

William S. Graham, 87, of Franklin Township, Ellwood City, went to be with the Lord on Monday evening, July 27, 2015 at his residence.

William was born in Butler on May 14, 1928 to the late Homer Graham and the late Hattie Steele Graham. In his youth, he was a merchant seaman, then served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a heavy weapons infantryman and an MP. He married his wife of 63 years, Alice Peffer Graham, on December 20, 1951. She survives. He worked as a first class fitter at Aetna-Standard Engineering for 35 years, then worked at Herr-Voss in Evans City for 5 years until retiring. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

The last of his family, he was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his siblings: Orrin, Art, Bob, Laverne, Alice, and Tootie.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Peffer Graham, and two daughters: Deborah Dikum and Ruth (and Tracy) McClintick, all of Ellwood City, as well as three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Per William’s wishes, no public visitation is planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue.
