Viola M. Miller

Viola M. Rape Miller, 93, of Trinity Oaks Care Center, Beaver, formerly of Ellwood City (Franklin Twp.) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2015 at Trinity Oaks in Brighton Twp.

She was born in Ellwood City on July 17 1922 to the late Edwin J. and Maud S. McDonough Rape.

Viola graduated from Lincoln (Ellwood City) High School in 1940, and worked in the order department at the former Ellwood Works of US Steel during World War II.

She also taught private piano lessons.

She was a longtime member of Knox Presbyterian Church.

She married her husband, William Loy Miller on April 14 1945. He died on July 1 2003.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Ronald E. Miller, who died on February 12 1997.

She is survived by several nephews and cousins in the area.

Friends will be received from 7:00-8:00 P.M. on Saturday, Sept.19, in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME, 500 6th Street, Ellwood City.

Services will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, Sept. 19, at TURNERS, with her pastor, the Rev. Elizabeth Wallace of Knox Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.
