Kotuba Thomas E.

Thomas A. Kotuba, 50, of Beaver Falls, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 18, 2015 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh following a lengthy battle with leukemia.

He was born in Ellwood City on June 27, 1965 to the late John T. “Spider” Kotuba, who passed away on December 8, 2008 and Kathryn Gerberding Kotuba, of Beaver Falls, who survives.

He graduated from Riverside High School in the class of 1983 and from the University of Maryland in 1993 with a degree in business. He also served in the U.S. Navy for six years and the U.S. Marine Corps for two. Tom enjoyed motocross riding, weight lifting, and traveling to various amusement parks to ride roller coasters with his children. He was also a strong advocate for autism awareness and an adventurous world traveler.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Faith Kotuba, in 1970.

In addition to his mother, Kathryn Gerberding Kotuba, he is survived by his three children: Nikita Lynn, Jared Andrew, and Kiera Rose Kotuba, all at home. Seven brothers and sisters also survive: John M., Alex J., and Rose Ann Kotuba, Mary Kotuba, and Maria Newton, all of Beaver Falls, and Walter T. Kotuba of Youngstown and Kathleen Zimpleman of Harrisburg.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue.

Services will be conducted at 11 A.M. on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at TURNER’S.

Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, North Sewickley Township.

Memorial contributions may be made to Tom’s children, c/o Huntington Bank’s Chippewa office.
