Dennis Partridge

Ellwood City

Dennis M. Partridge, 73, of Ellwood City, passed away on February 4, 2025, at Heritage Valley Beaver Medical Center in Beaver. He was the son of the late Francis (Mike)and Doris (Cookie) (Cook) Partridge and was born in Ellwood City on January 19, 1952.

He is survived by his two sons; William Partridge and his wife Sarah of Ellwood City, Steven Partridge of St. Thomas, USVI, one grandson; Luke Partridge, his brothers; Tim Partridge and his wife Sharon of Cambridge, Ontario, Terry Partridge and his wife Linda of Gahanna, OH, numerous nieces and nephews as well as Scott and Danielle Dennis, and Ms. Jean Rosak, who were very close friends of the family.

Dennis was a 1970 graduate of Lincoln High School and a 1974 graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a degree in social studies. He taught at Lincoln High School, Blackhawk High School, and Freedom Senior High School from 1982-2012, when he retired. Dennis had taught high school history and American Government /Economics for over 30 years.  He and his sons loved to travel and loved fishing and taking trips to Gettysburg. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and dedicated educator.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Mike and Doris Partridge and his grandparents; John and Catherine Partridge and Clifford and Vera Cook. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the Ellwood City Library in Mr. Partridge’s name. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 11am at Bell Memorial Presbyterian Church with Pastor Steve Plyler, officiating. 

Inurnment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.

Cremation Arrangements entrusted to the TURNER-HYDE Funeral & Cremation Services located at 6th and Park in Ellwood City.
