Karen Elizabeth Guy

Karen "Kacee" Guy, 61, of Rochester and formerly of Ellwood City, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, February 25, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver, PA. She was the daughter of Patricia A. Shoaf and the late Ronald L. Shoaf, and was born June 30, 1960, in Ellwood City. She is survived by her husband; Mark Guy, her mother; Patricia Shoaf, her children; Sherrie Bevington-Hurne (Jim) and Rick Cancelliere (Flo), grandchildren; Levi, Emma, Braden, Luci, Angelina, and Riley, her brother; Eric Shoaf, two nephews, as well as aunts, uncles, and many friends who miss her dearly. Karen married her husband Mark in 2001, and they were married 20 years. She loved dogs, especially rottweilers, which she and her husband were known to rescue. She enjoyed gardening and planting beautiful flowers in her flower beds, the sound and roar of a Harley Davidson, barbecues with the family, coffee, and dessert, and baking and cooking for friends and family. She enjoyed decorating for Halloween and Christmas - especially her collection of Santa Clauses. Most of all, she loved being a grandma. She enjoyed ancestry, tracing back and learning all her family's history. She also enjoyed the many years she volunteered for the Ellwood City Historical Society where she learned from local authors and historians. She had a host of friends and had such an innate ability to make friends wherever she went. She lived her life ready for coffee and adventure with friends, and especially weekends with grandkids. She loved so much being a wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her father, Ronald L. Shoaf, and one stepdaughter; Candace Wood. Friends may call on the family for a Memorial Visitation on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Turner Funeral Home in Ellwood City. At the family's request, her services will be private. Arrangements entrusted to The TURNER FUNERAL HOME located at 500 6th Street in Ellwood City.
