Mrs Martha E Beckley

Martha E. Beckley, 98, of Saegertown, PA and formerly of Ellwood City passed away April 7th, 2022, at the Crawford County Care Center in Saegertown. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Pauline (Peffer) Kimmel and was born December 13, 1923, in Ellwood City. She is survived by her daughter; Sharyn Piper and her husband Bob of Meadville, with whom she lived until October 2021, her grandchildren; Bradley Piper and his wife Debbie of Meadville, Ryan Piper and his fianc Amy Bevacqua of Conneaut Lake, great-grandchildren; Alyssa Piper Mahoney and her husband Cullen of Naples, Fl, and Ashleigh Piper of Meadville, one surviving cousin; Ruth Anderson of Ellwood City. Several nieces and nephews, and many friends who were very dear to her. Martha is also survived by her "Other Daughter" Sue Anderson, who was by her bedside, when she passed. She attended Lincoln High School, but earned her diploma from Riverside High School, in 1972. She met and married Robert Beckley, in 1946, and they were married until his death, in 1972. She was a beautician and owned and operated her own salon, Martha Beckley Beauty Shop, until 1984. She enjoyed crafts, counted cross stitch, board games, especially Yahtzee and cards. She was a former member of the Knox Presbyterian Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, of 26 years, Robert Beckley, siblings; Paul Kimmel Jr, W. Thomas Kimmel, Naomi Kimmel Powell, and Marylee Kimmel Silvester. Also, a niece and and four nephews. Friends may call on the family from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Turner Funeral Home, on Saturday July 16, 2022, with a Funeral Service following at 1:00pm at Turner's, with Reverend Tim Solomon, officiating. Interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park in Rochester. Memorial Donations may be made, in Martha's name to the Ellwood City Historical Society and mailed to 310 5th St, Ellwood City, PA 16117 Arrangements entrusted to the TURNER FUNERAL HOME located at 6th and Park in Ellwood City.
