The original mansion which is now Turner Funeral & Cremation Services was built in 1898 and was a private home until 1943 when it became Patton Memorial Home. In 1957, upon the death of William "Bill" Patton we became Turner Funeral Home, under the new owner Kenneth C. Turner, Sr. We became Turner Funeral & Cremation Services in 2019, after Turner's was purchased by Adam C. Hyde, keeping our funeral home continually and locally family owned and operated for over 80 years.
After an extensive remodel in 1970, Turner's added a large chapel, which can seat over 150 comfortably, 5 reposes rooms, Ellwood Cities first handicapped accessible funeral home with 2 accessible ramps/doors. Two large parking lots, one behind the funeral home and one directly across the street. Families can choose to use our large chapel for visitations, memorial services, and funerals or they can choose to use any of our parlor rooms for a more private and intimate gathering of family and friends.
